David Shepherd, NDP Critic for Health, made the following statement:

“I share the concern of many Albertans on vaccine supply, we know that the only way to get our economy and health system back to some form of normal, is to achieve widespread vaccination. Continued delays are frustrating, and I feel that too.

“However, it is not acceptable that Tyler Shandro and the UCP continue to refuse to release their plans for how they will prioritize different groups for vaccination, who will be included in phase two, and how those decisions will be made.

“Other provinces have done this while facing the same frustrating lack of supply. The bottom line is this: when the vaccine gets here, we need to be ready for it.”
