Rob Miyashiro was elected MLA Lethbridge West on Dec 18, 2024. Before his election, Miyashiro worked for over 4 decades in human services, the last half of that time as Executive Director of the Lethbridge Seniors Citizens Organization (LSCO) and served two terms on the Lethbridge City Council. While working on the Blood Tribe Youth Ranch he was given a Blackfoot name, Aakaoko’si  (Many Children) in honour of his work for children and youth. He and his partner Erin are passionate volunteers with Lethbridge Humane Society and share their lives with rescues Farley, Caesar, Wilma, and Betty.
