Marlin Schmidt

Marlin Schmidt has served as the MLA for Edmonton-Gold Bar since 2015.

Marlin is a passionate advocate for the people of his community and protecting the essential services they rely on.

During his time as Minister of Advanced Education, Marlin took concrete action to make life more affordable for students across Alberta. He passed legislation that modernized Alberta’s post-secondary system and froze tuitions to make institutions more accessible to people in lower incomes.

Marlin has a Masters applied Environmental Geoscience and a Bachelor of Science degree.
