SECOND UCP MINISTER QUESTIONED BY RCMP IN UCP VOTER FRAUD INVESTIGATION

EDMONTON - Infrastructure Minister Prasad Panda must come clean with the people about what exactly he knows regarding voter fraud in the 2015 UCP leadership contest.

CBC news reported on Tuesday that Panda was questioned by RCMP officers about the ongoing scandal involving the election of now-Premier Jason Kenney.

Panda is the second Minister to be questioned by the RCMP as Justice Minister Doug Schweitzer was interviewed in May.

“This is a government that isn’t being transparent with Albertans,” said Kathleen Ganley, NDP Opposition Justice Critic.

“For months now we have had the government telling Albertans that this is investigation is just idle Twitter gossip. We now have two Ministers who have been interviewed by the RCMP about a voter fraud scandal involving the Premier sitting around the cabinet table. Yet they arrogantly maintain that because they won an election they do not owe Albertans any sort of explanation.”
