NDP Service Alberta Critic Jon Carson issued the following statement after first reading of Bill 53: Service Alberta Statutes (Virtual Meetings) Amendment Act, 2021:

“Organizations have had to navigate how to meet the requirements in their bylaws while balancing public health orders for over a year. I wish the UCP offered more guidance to organizations sooner and I am disappointed this legislation was not brought in and implemented a year ago.”
