KENNEY NEEDS TO FIRE PC PARTY PRESIDENT FOR HIS OFFENSIVE REMARKS

CALGARY – Jason Kenney must fire his PC Party president for saying that the NDP curriculum review is going to turn Alberta’s children into Nazis.

In his Facebook post, which has now been removed, PC President Len Thom says,

“It is not the place of teachers to indoctrinate students into a political ideology under the guise of being ‘agents of change.’  … Being agents of change can be a good thing unless those agents of change join the Hitler Youth.”
(the entire post is screen captured here.)

“Saying this review is going to turn Alberta’s children into Nazis is not only offensive to the teachers and parents working on the curriculum, it is also deeply offensive to the Jewish community,” said NDP MLA Sandra Jansen.

“These remarks and the increasingly polarizing rhetoric from Jason Kenney and Alberta conservatives on the curriculum review are completely outside of what Albertans expect from their political leaders,” said Jansen. “Jason Kenney must fire his PC party president immediately.”
