FEDERAL HYDROGEN STRATEGY: GANLEY

NDP Energy Critic Kathleen Ganley issued the following statement regarding the release of the federal government’s hydrogen strategy:

“It’s encouraging to see several points of alignment with our own hydrogen proposal, such as building the necessary infrastructure to develop our hydrogen industry, including hydrogen hubs.

“Unfortunately, the UCP government continues to delay the development of Alberta’s hydrogen industry. Currently they don’t have a developed plan, just a plan to make a plan.

“We cannot afford to delay any longer. We need to get Albertans back to work now. This means diversifying our economy – including the renewable and non-renewable energy sectors, so we can be a world leader in all forms of energy.”
