Reality Check: Wildrose MLA blames electricity for his bozo eruption

EDMONTON – In another case of Wildrose MLA Rick Strankman making a bozo eruption, Strankman blamed a faulty electrical system for why he tweeted the Prime Minister is a “gutless puke”.

On July 4, Strankman commented on the Prime Minister’s attendance at the international G20 meeting during the Calgary Stampede. He deleted the tweet, but not before it was saved.[1]

In an interview with the Drumheller Mail published on July 12, Strankman refused to take any personal responsibility for his bozo eruption, instead blaming “the electrical system,” his staff, and the Twitter “cesspool”.

This contradicts what Strankman calls one of his primary values. On June 21, Strankman said he wants conservative politics grounded in “strong sound principles of personal responsibility.”[2]

Strankman has shown what “personal responsibility” means to conservatives: do as I say, not as I do.
