EDMONTON – Today, Jason Kenney said in Question Period “we aren’t climate deniers,” when several members of his caucus appear to believe otherwise.

Drew Barnes financed a climate change denial film and sat at the head table for an event called “Climate dogma exposed.” [1]

Rick Strankman told the Edmonton Journal, “You just look in Drumheller, look at all the striations of all the lines in the river valley. It’s as plain as the nose on your face. It’s been going on for eons.”[2]

Grant Hunter shared a cartoon of women’s underwear with the caption “No explanation needed!” as an attempt to diminish the impact of manmade climate change.[3]

Scott Cyr tweeted, “Global cooling: Arctic ice caps grows by 60% against global warming predictions.”[4]

Even Kenney himself has tweeted, “Co2 is not pollution. Life would cease to exist without it. Our forests breathe Co2.”[5] He also said to a public audience, “The climate’s been changing since the beginning of time, right?”[6]

The UCP caucus should explain why they’re in denial about their record on climate change denial.
