About the Position

MLA Julia Hayter is seeking motivated individuals to assist with non-partisan outreach and engagement in the community during the summer.

Reporting to the MLA and/or the constituency manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for contacting constituents, collecting and entering data in databases and maintaining accurate, up-to-date and usable information in established systems.

· Accompany the MLA door-to-door in Calgary-Edgemont

· Ask residents for their feedback, verify addresses

· Apply data program techniques and procedures

· Keep information confidential

· Comply with data integrity and security policies

· Accompany the MLA to some community events

· Office summer projects

· Other duties as assigned

Terms & Conditions This position reports to the MLA and/or their designate, and is a temporary hourly position starting upon hiring in June, 10-12 hours per week, concluding by September 30th, 2025. Compensation $20 per hour. Qualifications

The successful applicant will demonstrate many of these qualities:

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

· Knowledge of the history and structure of provincial politics

· Experience with canvassing, census enumeration, or conducting surveys

· Demonstrates high levels of customer service

· Willingness to walk 5-10km per day and climb steps

· Enthusiasm for working outdoors in various weather conditions

· Proven experience with data entry

· Experience with data programs

· Attention to detail, particularly with maps and addresses

· Ability to work effectively under deadlines and be self-motivated

· Willingness to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends

· Willingness to be trained by constituency staff

· Ability to use transit or personal vehicle to meet within Calgary-Edgemont
