Spring 2016 - Bill 206: PTSD Awareness Day

Bill 206: the Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Day Act designates June 27th of each year as  “Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Day.” The purpose of this day is to educate the public about the long-term effects and triggers of PTSD, the importance of accurate and early diagnosis, and to help combat the stigma and silence we often see around mental health issues.

Bill 206 passed third reading on May 30, 2016 and came into force June 13, 2016.
